Proposal: Request for WiFi in 3 outbuildings at 78 Woodland Ridge Rd.

Scope:

1. Extend internet connection from house to office 1 and office 2. Current connection is spotty.
2. Extend internet connection from house to 3rd outbuilding.

Recommendation:

• Test current ethernet run from house to office 1 for faults. Replace if issues found.
• Test current ethernet run from office 1 to office 2 for faults. Replace if issues found.
• Optionally protect outdoor ethernet runs in conduit.
• Replace Google WiFi devices with new wireless access points in office 1 and office 2.
• Install long range transmitter/receivers on house and 3rd outbuilding.
• Install wireless access point in 3rd outbuilding.
• Install wireless controller unit in house by internet equipment.

Consultation and Configuration by Painless Technologies:

Painless Technologies will oversee and perform the installation of 3 wireless access points at 78 Woodland Ridge Rd. to facilitate internet connectivity at 3 outbuildings.
Installation will be as non-obtrusive as possible while still maintaining placement for best performance of wireless devices.

The spotty wireless signal at the 2 office outbuildings could be due to several factors. First, there could be an issue with the ethernet cable run from the house to office 1. This line will be tested and replaced it necessary. It is optionally recommended to protect the ethernet run from the house to office 1 and from office 1 to office 2 in conduit. Although, the direct burial cable currently being used is suitable for outdoor use, it is recommended to protect it from animals, rocks, fallen trees and branches, potential kinks and breaks, as well as prolonged exposure to weather events. Due to the extreme terrain and ground composition, the conduit would be installed above ground. The second factor that could be effecting the wireless signal at the office buildings is the distance the Google WiFi devices are from their base unit. Even though exact information regarding weather or not wired Google mesh devices need to be in range of their base unit to function properly could not be verified. Google does recommend their devices be place approximately no more than 30 feet apart. Painless Technologies recommends replacing these devices with wireless access points that do not rely on being within proximity of their base unit or controller to function properly.

Painless Technologies will install long range transmitter/receivers on house and 3rd outbuilding to create a point to point cable less connection between buildings. A wireless access point will be installed in the 3rd outbuilding on that connection.

The proposed Wireless Controller Unit will be installed in the same location as the cable modem.

Painless Technologies will configure network devices and wireless access points per client's requirements including device security features as well as a guest wireless network (if applicable) and a secure wireless network.

Painless Technologies will demonstrate the connectivity of the installed wireless network/s and instruct the customer on the usage of the new network/s.

Painless Technologies bills at a rate of $120.00/hr for the first hour on-site and $80.00/hr for each additional hour.
Estimated time for this project is 8 hours for the installation and configuration of equipment and cabling.

Due to Covid-19 and material shortages of equipment all prices are estimates based on the time of this proposal. Prices and services may change without notice at any time.

The wireless access points and all materials related to the installation including cabling, conduit, fasteners, jacks, and plugs are estimated based on recommendations in this quote and will be billed to the customer upon completion of the installation. Client selected options will effect hardware and material quantities.
